Two New Redesigns to Start 2012

Cmi-sos-long

We recently launched two redesigns of websites that we had previously built for our clients. The first is a redesign for The Sustainable Operations Summit, the premier forum for leading organizations to share best practices that benefit both the environment and the bottom line, run by event marketing company CraigMichaels. The 2012 summit will bring together some of the world's brightest minds in sustainability in New York City during Earth Week to share innovative approaches to reduce impact on the environment with a focus on energy, the built environment and resource conservation. Former president Bill Clinton will be one of the many distinguished speakers. We created an illustration-based design to play on a green and patriotic theme for this year's summit.

Introducing Launch Effect Premium

Screen_shot_2011-12-04_at_1

Launch Effect, our viral campaign WordPress theme, has been downloaded over 6,000 times since August. We've seen hundreds of sites using the theme in various ways and are finding new ones every day (check out the gallery we put together on the homepage). It's been very inspiring to see our theme in use, and we've received great feedback and many wonderful requests for new features.

This week, we announced the release of Launch Effect Premium, a paid version of the theme that will build on the core viral feature and allow users to create robust websites. Our goal with Premium is to make Launch Effect more than just a one-page website or a coming soon page. We want it to be a theme that can enable people to create fully-featured websites.

When you buy a Launch Effect Premium license, you get lifetime access to all of our updates, so you'll always be able to download and upgrade to the latest version. The initial version offers a much requested feature: the ability to brand the footer of the site (you can also take it out altogether). We're also offering priority support for Premium users. The initial pricing is $35 for the single license and $65 for an unlimited site developer's license.

Upcoming Premium features include a countdown clock and the ability to add navigation and additional pages to the site. We're also going to make sure that the free version continues to receive proper care and will be introducing several new integrations in the next couple of months (we've already got MailChimp integration so far). We've very excited, and hope you'll give Launch Effect Premium a try.

Just Launched: Subchondroplasty

Subchondroplasty is a new minimally invasive surgery created by Knee Creations to help patients suffering from knee pain associated with chronic bone marrow edema (BME). This procedure provides an alternative to knee replacements by filling defected bone with a hard-setting void filler that helps the body heal defects in the bone.

We worked closely with Subchondroplasty to create a clean medical site that is functional for both patients as well as healthcare professionals. The patient side of the site features Google Maps integration to help search nearby doctors, easy-to-access information about the Subchondroplasty procedure, and success story videos. The healthcare professional side of the site includes a listing of upcoming training sessions and surgical technique videos. We used ExpressionEngine as the content management system.
